What are the Park opening dates?

Lodges, Apartments and Bungalows are available all year round at Highlands End and Golden Cap. Caravans are generally available to hire from 1st March until 30th November. Camping, Touring and Motorhome Pitches are generally available mid march to the end of October.

How can I make a booking?

It is easy to make a booking online or by phoning the bookings team on 01308 426947.

What payment methods are available?

For holidays in Lodges, Apartments, Bungalows, Caravans and on Touring/Motorhome Pitches, the balance is due 10 weeks before your holiday. For Camping bookings, the balance is due 4 weeks before your holiday. If the balance is not received in time the booking may be cancelled with no refund of the deposit made. You can pay either by debit/credit card over the phone or online.

Can I allocate a pitch before arrival?

Unfortuntely we do not allocate pitches before arrival. On arrival please select the pitch you would like from the ones available.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Yes but please contact the bookings department as some amendments concur charges or 01308 426947.

Do you provide for guests with disabilities?

Yes, we have a disabled toilet and shower room at Highlands End Holiday Park, Golden Cap Holiday Park and Sandyholme Holiday Park. Thorncombe Apartment at Highlands End is on the ground floor and has disabled facilities.

If you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the staff at any time. For your benefit we have customer assistance packs at all park receptions as well as in the bar and swimming pool. These contain useful items to assist you, such as large print menus, pen & paper and magnifying glasses. Access statements are also available please contact us for a copy.

Can we make group bookings and do you cater for rallies?

Yes, please contact our bookings department for further information, or by phone 01308 426947. There are some restrictions on the time of the year we can cater for rallies.

What time is check in? And check out?

For Lodges, Caravans, Apartments and Bungalows at all parks, check in is from 4pm on the day of your arrival and on the day of your departure, check-out is by 10am. For Camping and Touring Pitches, the arrival time is 3pm and check out time is 11am. We try to have all Holiday Homes and Touring pitches ready as early as possible, but cannot guarantee access before 4pm. Please report to reception on your arrival and advise us if you are going to arrive later than 6pm. If we have not heard from you by 9am on the day after you booked to arrive (Sunday for Saturday bookings) we reserve the right to re-let the Holiday Home or pitch.

Do we need to bring our own bed linen?

Bed linen is provided in Lodges, Apartments and Bungalows but not in Caravan Holiday Homes. You can either bring your own or else we offer packs for hire, this must be requested at the time of booking and can be replenished weekly at an extra cost. Towels and tea towels are not provided. We do provide the duvets and pillows in the Hire Caravans but not linen.

Can I hire a cot and high chair?

Yes cots and high chairs are available at an extra cost but only for customers staying in Lodges, Caravans, Apartments or Bungalows.

Can I bring my pets?

We make a nominal charge for dogs in hire accommodation to cover additional cleaning. A maximum of 2 dogs in each holiday home is the limit permitted and they are only allowed in certain homes. There is also a charge for dogs in touring/camping units – maximum of 2 dogs per booking. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times in the parks and exercised in the designated areas. In both touring/camping units and hire accommodation it is strictly forbidden for pets to be left unattended. All dog fouling on the park must be cleared up. No liability can be accepted for damage or injury caused by them. No cats or other pets are permitted. The number of dogs booked cannot be reduced after payment has been made.

Is WIFI available?

Yes, WIFI is available at all holiday parks. Please go to your holiday park main reception and they will issue you with a log in at a small charge.

How many cars can we bring?

One car may be parked besides touring units and tents. Guests staying in the front row holiday homes at Highlands End must park in the swimming pool car park opposite. All other guests will be shown where to park on arrival. Apartments have private parking. Bungalows have an unloading area but must then park in the swimming pool car park.

Can we invite friends to visit us whilst staying at the parks?

Yes we do allow day visitors and they would not need to check in at the reception however if they are staying the night there would be an extra fee and must be paid for at the holiday park reception.

Do I need a fishing licence for the fishing lake at Golden Cap?

There is a small fishing lake at Golden Cap Holiday Park and you can obtain a fishing license from the local shop – the Reception Team at Golden Cap will be able to advise you further. Please Note: We do not hire fishing equipment.

Which holiday parks have a swimming pool and gym?

Highlands End Holiday Park is the only park of the 5 to have a Leisure Club with a Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steam Room and Gym – charges apply. Unlimited access to the Leisure Club is included with Lodge bookings. Any guests staying at any of the other 4 holiday parks are very welcome to use these facilities.

Is there a children’s club?

No there is not currently a children’s club at any of the holiday parks. However there is children play areas at Highlands End Holiday Park, Golden Cap Holiday Park and Sandyholme Holiday Park.

What entertainment is available at the holiday parks?

During peak summer season Highlands End Holiday Park has live music, live sport and discos. Please contact Martin’s Bar & Restaurant for further details or else We also welcome private functions.

Can I bring a boat?

Please note that if you are thinking about bringing your boat on holiday, you must take into account our safety rules.

A gap must be maintained between touring units to comply with fire regulations and for safety reasons there are restrictions on the number of tents and other objects permitted on individual pitches.

Boats with engines and fuel are not permitted to be parked on touring pitches. There is a boat compound in West Bay and bookings can be made. We do have a limited space in the car park for boats which is near the entrance to the holiday park. Please contact reception if you wish to take advantage of one or more spaces. Please do not bring your motor boat on holiday unless you have made arrangements for parking/ storage when not in use.

Boats can be launched at West Bay and there is a slipway fee and a nightly charge for the mooring.

Can I have a BBQ or fire?

Raised purpose-built BBQ’s are allowed. Small disposable ones must be raised off of the ground using the bricks provided around the Camping and Touring areas. BBQs in tents, open fires and fire pits are not permitted. Please place disposable BBQ’s in the wheelie bins provided only once they are cold.

Can i fly a drone?

The use of drones is not permitted on the parks, in accordance with the drone code issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.
